- It is best to treat a multiple being attuned to Reiki as a group of individuals rather than working with them as a unified entity. Working from the mindset of attuning a group seems to make things go smoother.
- Begin by ascertaining if all the individuals in the group want to be attuned to Reiki, or only some of them.
- Also find out if they all wish to be attuned to the same level, and if there is anyone in the group who is ‘allergic’ to Reiki.
- If there is anyone in the group allergic to Reiki, it is recommended that you have them astrally step away from the group which wants to be attuned. If that is not possible, for whatever reason, have them shield themselves or set up a shield of your own around them (or both.) Consciously intend before the attunement that you do not wish to direct any Reiki energy at those individuals who react badly to it.
- Those who do not wish to be attuned should also step away if possible, and be consciously intended to be excluded from the attunement, but there is no real need to shield them. It can still be done if you choose, however, as a safety precaution.
- If individuals in the group wish to be attuned to different levels of Reiki, it is recommended that you handle this through multiple attunement sessions for each set of individuals wishing to be attuned to the same level.
- For the attunement itself, there are several methods you can use. The easiest of these is to visualize the astral bodies of the people you are attuning overlapping, like negatives stacked in a pile, and doing the attunement as if the group was one person.
- Another method is to attune an individual in the group at random and at each step in the attunement intend for the energy to roll or cascade onto the others and attune them as well. This works especially well in systems with bonds to one another, though it can also branch off and attune other people they are bonded to who are not in the body if you are not careful and specific in your intentions about who you want to attune. Some prefer to allow the individual in the group to cascade the energies themselves, but this seems unfeasible for most multiple groups if they are unfamiliar with the Reiki energies.
- Another method is to attune an individual in the group at random and allow them to attune others in the group, and those others to attune still others, until all who wish to be are attuned.
- Other methods are certainly possible, and will be posted here as they are developed.
- It should be noted that many (possibly all) of these methods would also work for attuning groups of people who do not share one body.
