Some thoughts on technomagic.  First, smartphones make great talismans.  Used mine tonight to take some pictures of Ellis sigils I’m placing as part of a working providing me with a) a sympathetic link to the sites to continue charging the sigils remotely, b) the gps location of the sigils for inclusion in my awesome online map of both local thin places and my own workings, and c) a mobile Ellis sigil in the form of my phone itself, as long as it contains those photos.

Second, there are modern equivalents to some of the old traditional talismans.  A holey stone is great to find, but don’t be so set on encountering the tool in that form that you miss it when the universe hands you something just as good.  Like, say, letting you find a filter for a camera just lying on the ground in the middle of the park, partially covered up with dirt but somehow completely unscratched once it’s recovered and cleaned off…
