If memory serves, a number of years ago there was an essay somewhere online concerning Psychic Warfare Syndrome… the tendency for people new to magic (and in some cases not so new) to get involved with massive astral battles, believe they are under constant psychic/astral attack, that sort of thing.  It was a very good essay, as I recall.  Is anyone here familiar with it, who might remember where it was online?  I can't find it with google searches, and I'm thinking the site it was on may have gone offline.  I'd check archive.org, but I really don't remember where it was hosted.

My recent research into thoughtforms has led me back down this path… for several years I've associated Psychic War Syndrome with fear-generated thoughtforms.  I still do, but I'm also starting to see some additional dimensions to it.  Still exploring the interplay and connections.  cthulhu

Never mind, found it! http://www.shadowdance.org/pws.htm

It's apparently “Psychic War Syndrome” in the original, not “Psychic Warfare Syndrome”.

*shrugs* I don't sense anything.  And, in my experience, there are relatively few magical practitioners who work through the medium of the internet (charged webpages and the like).  Fewer still, I would think, who would set up anything that would mess with the energy of random visitors to their website.  I can't even think of a potential motive to do so, really.
