Discord Server - Limited Test Run | Online Events | Forums

So, the test run was interesting.  For the most part I like the interface of Discord and it has some really nice features like persistent chat history, embedded media/files, and multiple rooms that can be organized by topic.  However, the turnout for the test run was very low – just two people tried it other than myself – and I’m not convinced that it really gives us much that IRC doesn’t already provide.  I think this will be tabled for now, though I’d be willing to revisit it if enough interest were expressed.
