I know several of us are perpetually engaged in the study of magic.  But is anyone currently engaged in a formal or semi-formal curriculum of study?  If so, what system and what do you think of it so far?

I'm planning to semi-formally work myself through the material in Ars Philtron and Viridarium Umbris, but I'm still working on gathering the tools necessary for the practical alchemical work (though I may decide to see how well the system adapts itself to the Herbal Alchemy on a Budget route as far as tools go; I'd been avoiding that due to some advice in the book that one should not disdain the cost for a working bowl made of fine crystal (lead crystal glass, not the stones) but rereading the material I see it was less of a mandate than I had first thought it and I may be delaying myself unduly).  In the meantime, I'm giving serious thought to working through Franz Bardon's Initiation into Hermetics and The Practice of Magical Evocation from start to finish, as I've found many of his ideas useful.
