Online mailing lists, forums, blogs, etc are great. They’ve allowed us to find others like ourselves, and form a community that quite literally spans the globe. I’ve known otherkin, vampires, and therians from Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, Singapore, and elsewhere. And I’ve been proud to call many of them family. But a community isn’t really a community when you only see each other in person once or twice a year, if at all. This meetup is a chance to build something real, face to face, for all of us nonhumans in the Northern Virginia/DC Metro area. Come hang out, meet fellow otherkin, exchange stories, share knowledge, and enjoy a bite to eat at a fun and family-friendly restaurant.
The meetup scheduled for October 11th, 2014 was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Our next meetup will be Saturday, November 8th at 6:00pm. We’ll be meeting and having dinner at Curry Mantra 3 on Cedar Lane in Vienna, Virginia. Please comment below, or email me at jarandhel at gmail dot com, to let me know if you’re coming so we can tell the staff what size table we’ll need. Rides from the metro can also be arranged if needed, with enough notice.

Scheduling for meetups has become a bit iffy at present. Working on figuring out a new schedule that works for enough people to make it worthwhile to keep holding them.
